About Dale

Dale is a 8 month old male Wolfhound x.
This is written by Dales friend Mel who works here and looks after the animals in our care.

Dale is a beautiful boy. He didn't have the best start to life and came to us very thin and extremely scared. Dale is still scared. Scared of life, people, people holding things (clipboards, hoses & broom are some of the things i have noticed), sudden noises & movements, people wearing hats and hoods.
Dale needs someone who is willing to put the time and effort into him that will see him feel comfortable enough to be able to develop a bond with his human. Its all about time, patience, consistency & love.
Dale has wormed his way into my heart and let me into his world. I have been lucky enough to be able to work with him on gaining his trust. When you have his trust he is the most amazing boy, a happy, bouncy & fun loving snuggle monkey! He will now come to me when called, absolutely loves the attention and affection I lavish on him, he will jump up on the bench next to me and gently place his nose on my cheek when I ask for a kiss. We can play tug of war with toys, play "I'm gonna get your paws", chasey, I often lay on the ground in the yard with him and he will slink up next to me for cuddles. This only happens when we have one on one time. As soon as anyone else is within sight he reverts back to being scared.
Dale desperately wants to please me. He desperately wants to find his own human to love. He just needs that special someone that can show him they're there for the long haul are a safe place for him and teach him the world can be a fun place!
I cannot tell you how much I love Dale. I am so lucky he lets me see what he is capable of, not just the timid creature that is scared of the world.
Dale deserves happiness. He deserves someone that will help him grow into the most wonderful and amazing boy he is meant to be. That someone has to be the most perfectly open hearted, amazing person we can find. You need to be able to work with Dale to show him all life has to offer. I am privileged to see what he has to offer. I know he will be a loyal, loving, goofy & exciting addition to someone's life.

Dale is Vet checked, Temperament tested, De-sexed, Vaccinated, Micro chipped, Wormed and Flea treated.
His adoption fee is $400.00.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
