Hi everyone, my name is “Arty”.
I'm on the lookout for my new family. I would love an energetic family that loves adventures and smart dogs. I'm a smart boy and want to show my new family all the commands and tricks I know and I'm hoping they will teach me lots more.
I'm a Border Collie Cross and have a full blown working dog brain, I need to use it to be a happy dog. Just like smart people need challenges to exercise their brains to be happy I need challenges too. How would you like to take me to agility or herding school? I would make you so proud of me, we could show all the others what a great team we are!!! Don't tell anyone but we will already have a head start at doggy school because I know how to sit, drop, wait, leave it, give it, shake both hands, spin, speak, I'm crate trained and also house trained. Told you I'm clever!!
I love to run and play with toys, chase the laser light, go swimming, herd chickens, I'm good with cats, like to play with other dogs, actually I think I like doing almost anything. I would prefer to be the only dog at home though, I would rather have all my families attention on me at home, we can just play with others out and about maybe? I love to have pats and cuddles and will nudge your hand with my nose to tell you I want more. I have been around livestock too and I'm a very good boy around other animals, I even like rabbits. My foster carer said I'm going to make my new family very happy because I'm an awesome dog.
A condition of our adoption agreement is that all dogs adopted from Chally MUST be put through obedience training, if you cannot meet this commitment please do not apply. All our dogs deserve the chance to be the very best they can be, and we will choose homes that will ensure this is the case.

• You have a very large secure yard
• Arty will not be alone for more than 5hrs
• You will allow Arty to be part of the family and allow him access to indoors.
• You WILL enrol him in obedience training.
• You WILL provide him with daily exercise AND mental stimulation.
Applications with extensive details on the lifestyle you will offer will be considered. Please include your experience with working breed dogs and the name of the obedience school you will be taking him to.

Our adoption process is as follows:
1) Animal is listed on PetRescue
2) Applications are received
3) The application which we feel offers the best-suited home to the pet is contacted for first preference of a meet and greet to see if they 'click' with the animal.
We do not follow a first-in, first-served process and only consider applications completed via our online form.
Due the popularity of some dogs - and the fact that our rescue is run entirely by volunteers - we cannot guarantee that all unsuccessful applicants will be notified, however we will do our best.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
