About Topham
Topham is a real top dog!
This boy is an overgrown lapdog. He is super sweet and is friendly with everyone he meets. Topham loves attention - both getting and giving it. He also loves to lay on the lounge with you, even though he takes up a fair bit of room, and snuggling up for cuddles on the bed when he’s allowed. Topham is still a younger dog so is still playful and his goofy and happy personality is contagious. Seeing him splash around in some water is definitely going to make you laugh. He has such a blast at the river running and playing in the water.
Topham came to us from far western NSW and the facility he was in used him as the tester dog as he is friendly with other dogs that he meets. In saying that, he can be a bit over friendly and quite excited to meet new dogs which can be a bit overwhelming for some dogs and considered rude by others. When Topham finds a compatible playmate, he loves to play and wrestle with them. He also loves his walks and going on adventures. Topham will need daily walks and would enjoy going on bush walking or hiking trips with his new family.
This boy is a doggie dream – he travels well in the car and enjoys hanging his head out the window so the wind is blowing in his ears. Topham is house trained, can sit and is learning to wait. He can sometimes still be a bit mouthy when excited so is best suited dog savvy children who are used to large breed dogs or an adult only home. When walking on lead, he often walks nicely but if there is a good smell or another dog to see he will try to use his weight to take you there. Topham has been enjoying some bushwalks with his foster carer where he can explore off lead. He generally sticks nearby, and his recall has been improving.
We are looking for a large dog breed experienced home where Topham will be a part of the family and included in the daily activities and outings. He could be an only dog as he is fine when home alone. Alternatively he could live with another large and playful dog who he could romp around with or any sized dog who wasn’t interested in playing with him but would be a companion to hang out with. Topham will need access inside to spend time with is family and should have a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night. He is going to make such a great dog for a lucky family and provide endless amounts of love.
If you would like to make this beautiful boy a part of your family then please complete a Dog Adoption Enquiry form on the Fetching Dogs website as the first step. Please outline in your application your previous dog experience and the type of lifestyle Topham would have in your home.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
