NOTE: You are unable to meet Koda until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Koda in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.


What I need in my new home:
• LARGE BREED EXPERIENCE IS A MUST
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A doggie playmate who doesn't jump on me would be good but im just as happy being an only dog.
• A doggie playmate would be great, if not then lots of socialising with other dogs

• I like both friendly male and female dogs
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A family who promise to keep me well groomed and brush me regularly so I'm always looking and feeling my best.
• Lots of love and attention
• Children that are use to large boisterous dogs would be okay.
• I have lots of energy so an active family is a must
• Doggy daycare and group socialisation classes would be highly beneficial for me.


Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Cats or small animals as I may find them fun to chase

My best features:
• Very playful
• Wiggle butt
• Highly food motivated
• I can sit.
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• Happy to hang out with other dogs that arnt too boisterous
• Social butterfly
• I am clever and eager to learn so would love a family who will teach me some cool tricks.
• I love attention, hugs, kisses & head scratches
• Exuberant & full of beans
• I love toys especially my ball, playing fetch and tug rope

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I can be a bit bouncy -training should stop this
• I can be strong on the lead - training and walking me in a halti or harness may stop this

• I am social with other friendly dogs however I will react if they are too full on or reactive to me, further socialisation is recommended.
• I walk well on lead, unless I want to go in another direction, then I tend to pull harder
• I appear to have minor issues with resource guarding when it comes to high value foods. I will need some training to help fix this.
