About Alfie
If you are interested in Alfie, or any of our Greyhounds, we require you to fill in our application form - https://forms.gle/RmFiJ9YRFnWzexrNA
Hi my name is Alfie.
I’m a fun loving 3 and a half year young boy looking for my forever home.
I’ve been living with my foster parents for a couple of weeks and must say, apartment life suits me very well! With that being said, I’d love if you have a small backyard or courtyard where I can play fetch. I would suit new and experienced owners who mostly work from home.
I’ve mastered many aspects of pet life like:
* Stairs - no longer a challenge, I can go up and down like a noodle elevator
* Toilet - no accidents so far! I can hold my toilet through the night. During the day, I’m used to a toilet break every 4-5hrs
* Lead manners - I am usually good on my lead during walks and won’t pull
* People - I’m very friendly and love to get my pats wherever and whenever I can get them
* Alone time - I can do a couple of hours without trouble, just enough for you to go to the gym, shops or maybe a quick run to the office. I’ll just need a safe environment and lots of toys.
Pet life is fun but there are some things I’ll need your help with. My new pawrents will keep working with me on managing my excitement. I just love humans so much and can get jumpy if excited. Small humans are very new to me so I’ll need your guidance on how to interact with them.
I think I could be very good with my alone time, we’ll just need to work on it together in small steps.
Finally, I’m still learning how to socialise with other breed dogs. I seem to get along with other greyhounds, but the other dogs are still a bit awkward for me at times.
I am ready for my forever home! If you think we’d be a good match, let the humans at Homeward Bound Hounds know.
At Homeward Bound Hounds, we pride ourselves on matching the right dog to the right family. We need to know more about you and your home to find the best possible match.
