if you're looking for a goofy snuggle pot, Irina is your girl! Irina is an avid chewer of sticks, loves to wrestle and play with her doggy pals and is so eager to please her people. a real foodie - she it passionate about meals and snacks making her highly trainable. be carful if you sit on the couch though - Irina will be right there on your lap looking for all the belly rubs and cuddles you have to give.

Irina came into care, afraid of the world with a clear lack of exposure to new people and places. she has been building her confidence through slow introductions to new people and environments and with the help of treats and praise, is doing very well. She has really blossomed with the help and mentorship of a social, happy dog by her side and will be looking for a dog in her new home to help show her the way.

She has been learning that meals will come regularly, nobody else will steal it from her and that she doesn't not need to vacuum down every meal (and everyone else's meals). With slow feeders and by eating her breakfast and dinner in her crate she has really started to work through her desperation around food.

While she enjoys the company of children, Irina can be exuberant and jump up to say hello. the occasional loving nip of your fingers as you walk by may not go down well with littlies, so if you have children, they need to be old enough manage this behaviour.

She has spent some time with an elderly, slow cat, but in true Irina style, the cat is far less interesting than the cats food bowl.

Irina is a pleasure to have in the home, she just wants to be loved, understood and told she is a good girl. She is crate trained for sleep times and is 90% housetrained with only the occasional accident. She is looking for a home where her humans will gently help her to build her confidence and treat her like the princess she is.
