Edna ^^Dandy Cat Rescue^^

***FOSTER CARER NEEDED, VIEW TO ADOPT IS ALSO AN OPTION***

Edna’s life had been going wonderfully until she suddenly found herself homeless. Sadly, Edna’s elderly owner had to go into palliative care - and she was left with no-one to care for her. There was no family to claim her so she is all alone.

Edna desperately needs someone to give her a loving, quiet home where she can rest her weary paws and live out her days surrounded by the love she had become used to.

We need to save Edna from going to the pound as she would not survive that environment. She can’t stay where she is so we need to find a carer for her URGENTLY.

Edna is an absolute sweetheart to people. She is not find of other cats though, and she gets her cranky old girl pants on around other kitties. And we’re pretty sure she would feel the same way about dogs.

This gentle girl has a heart of gold. But like most of us as we age, Edna is a little deaf so you’ll need to be patient and understand she may not hear you when you call her for dinner.

Edna has been an indoor-only kitty and will need to stay that way as the outside world is scary to her. She does like to find a window to lay near and watch birds outside and do a bit of sunbathing because other cat pursuits such as running, jumping and climbing are distant memories.

Health-wise Edna is in great shape for her age. She is FIV negative and her blood work has come back clear. She is being treated for a UTI at the moment but that has come about due to the stress of her unfortunate change in circumstances.

This senior sweetheart really needs someone to open their heart and home and allow her to enjoy the security of having a loving person/people to take good care of her. She is not a demanding girl but really loves it when you give her head and chin scratches. And she has a lovely purr that everyone will enjoy!

Edna would benefit from being on premium urinary diet dry food, which we can provide some of when she goes to her foster home. We will also provide some litter however her foster care will need to buy her food and litter for the duration of her time in care.

* We will pay for: all vet expenses, flea & worm treatment, some food (when available), litter box and toys
*You will cover: food, litter and travel expenses to and from vet appointments.
