Hi, my name is Ella, I’m a lovely little girl who sadly needs a new home because I have resource issues with the two dogs I live with, I’m OK with humans taking my food or toys but just don’t like dogs doing it!
I know the commands how to sit, drop, shake, on bed, I’m good on the lead, I take food gently and my recall isn’t too bad, but still needs working on.
I’ve never been to obedience school due to lockdowns during Covid, I would benefit greatly from attending training school for social skills with other dogs and for my owner to gain leadership skills.
I’ve lived with young children who I’ve grown up with, I’m respectful of them. I love playing fetch with the ball, water games, the beach and camping. I’m always kept on the lead because I haven’t been socialised around other dogs. I’m OK when I walk past another dog whilst on a walk although I can start to pull but my owners know to tell me I’m a good girl and keep me on a short lead.
I jump when there is a loud bang such as fireworks or loud thunder but if you reassure me all is ok then I will settle. If you turn it into party time with clapping your hands and giving me treats when the loud noises occur, then I will get used to them and not get scared.
So, if you think you can offer me a good forever home where you’ll be able to give me all the above in return, I will give you all the love and loyalty you could ask for!

and fill out the Adoption Request Form. You will receive an email acknowledgement within 3 days. If you do not receive any further contact after this please do not be discouraged. It just means that a suitable application was received before yours. We encourage you to contact Jan at jan.hutton@optusnet.com.au every week to show you are still interested in adopting. As we will already have your form on file it will fast track the process when a suitable dog does become available.
Adopt one of our dogs and we are there for you for the rest of the dog's life. If you find you and the dog are not suited it is a condition of sale that the dog comes back to Stafford Rescue.
