About Sabo
Are you looking for a best friend – someone that is happy to be in your personal space at all times? If the answer is yes – then look no further – Meet me I’m Sabo!
I am a French Bulldog who is 5 years and 11 months old
My foster mum says I am an absolutely lovely girl but I do have a few quirks:-
I live with a few other foster dogs – I am good with other dogs as long as they get my tick of approval when meeting – if I don’t like the original intro – then nope not happening with in supervised periods but I have a big thing that people need to know I have serious reactivity to any other dog being near me for food or water or anything dropped on the floor that I believe is food.
The rescue has said with my selectiveness on other dogs and my reactivity to sharing food and water they feel that it would be best if I am only dog – simply as it’s a lifelong commitment to take me on with these issues – I will even guard the kitchen against another dog coming near encase there is food.
In saying that as I am so food driven I am easy to train and do things with!
I do need love being around my humans – shock horror you say a French Bulldog wanting to be around their humans – I know right – I am such a typical French Bulldog! My ideal home would be with someone who works from home and needs a secretary while they work or someone who is retired and loves to spend time with me.
I am really not a fan of being outside by myself I will be very dramatic and cry acting like I have been banished to the Sahara desert and then when you let me back in I will give you the best cuddles and be so happy to see you again
I am good with children but have been known to pick up a toy that is left lying around of theirs – I usually take it to my foster mum and hand it over to you.
I am good around children but can be a bit cautious meeting them at first – but once I’m comfortable with them I do love them and happy to hang out on their bed while they do homework or watch tv.
I have awesome manners with walking but do ask that we do walks that mean I can stop and smell the flowers and other things – it’s more of a social thing for me then exercise. My foster mum says I’m very well behaved and even if I do like to jump into your spot on the couch when you get up a click of the fingers and point to another spot I will get up straight away and move – I just tell my mum I was keeping the spot warm for her.
I also need someone who is happy to do a monthly shop to the reject shop for new toys I have been known to destroy a soft tall quickly but if you get me some strong durable toys (like a Kong) I can usually keep them for a few days.
A few other of my favorite things are – car rides, tummy rubs, I love water and playing it, Fetch and of course tug of war.
My foster mum has said no way to cats – apparently she wouldn’t trust me I can be very unpredictable with them.
I do love sleeping in my crate I am usually ready for bed by about 8pm and generally up around 6am – if you have slept in I will be quiet until you let me out.
If you think you could make me part of your family & are interested in applying to adopt me, please send thru an adoption application.
** Please note applications will close Tuesday 3rd May 2022 at 5.30pm

Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
Please Note: We do not hold any animals so please only apply if you are ready to adopt now
Please note - We don't take calls on adoption enquiries - an application must be completed
We can also be found at https://www.facebook.com/pawprintscanine/
Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
