Hopefully you did clap – cause I am super cute!!!
I'm a happy and bouncy little guy that can't wait to meet my forever family. I have been living with my foster parents and fur siblings for a little while now, but it's time for me to move into my new home.
My foster mum has said I need to tell you that I am a Maltese x Shih Tzu who is 10 months and 2 weeks old!
Since I live with a medium breed dog (bulldog) at the moment, I know that I like company and love playing, I would love to go to a home where there is another dog to play with – I love to wrestle and play chasey and have a partner for going for walks with.
I used to be a little shy and unsure of new people, so I'm hoping that my new family can understand that I'm still learning to be confident in new places. I do a bit of a naughty thing when I first meet people – I do a little bark at them– I usually do this for a minute or two until I work out you’re going to ignore me and then I am all good – like I am so cute that it’s quickly ignored and people are just super keen to give me attention.
I am currently with some kids and I love playing with them and hanging out with them.
I have also been known to bark at Geckos and am a great neighborhood watch when I want too.
My ideal home will be with someone who is home more often than not or who works from home – I’m still young so I would like to be a part of my families lives. I do sleep on my foster mums bed and this is something I would like to continue with – I mean just think we can snuggle on the couch and then snuggle in bed together (after you have told me how cute I am at least 3 times that day!)
There is a cat at the house that I love to play with him, hmmm him not so much and will give me a very grumpy stare and ignore me – I still love him and love to snuggle up with him and have a snooze.
I am toilet trained
I have a coat that does require grooming so please keep this in mind when applying as it’s an ongoing expense. I have also been known to love running thru prickly bushes so my foster mum has to brush them out!
If you think you could make me part of your family & are interested in applying to adopt me, please send thru an adoption application.
** Please note applications will close Sunday 1st May 2022 at 5.30pm

Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
Please Note: We do not hold any animals so please only apply if you are ready to adopt now
Please note - We don't take calls on adoption enquiries - an application must be completed
We can also be found at https://www.facebook.com/pawprintscanine/

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
