About Mia
Mia is a sweetheart. She is playful, smoochy and affectionate, active and easy going.
Her favorite thing is cuddles on the couch, she is looking for a companion who loves the same. Absolutely the sweetest dog, all she wants to make you happy with her smiles, hugs and play.
She walks well onlead, enjoys making new friends and makes a great Tv snuggle buddy.
Mia came to us from a rural pound on the outskirts of Melbourne. We know little of her history, but we do know she wasn't given the care she needed.
She meets new things with curiosity and a smile, is generally optimistic and she learns about new things quickly and without fuss. She has been to pet barn for a wash, walked all over and even tried to go back in to say Hi to the vets when walked past. She is a happy go lucky girl.
A home where she is centre of attention would be nice. No cats or young kids and if she is to have a dog friend a desexed male would be preferable.
Ideally she would be in a home where she has human company, a comfy spot or two, and is taken on low stress sniffy walks and car rides for entertainment. She is quite energetic and loves to p;ay ball and go for a walk. She needs to be indoors in hot weather as she can’t pant enough to cool her sufficiently in hot weather.
Mia takes such joy from everything and it is contagious. What she has been through is sad, it is awful what some animals go through, but she isn't dwelling and neither should we! She is a girl who is doing everything full throttle. Sleeping belly up, smiling her biggest rotti grin and stopping to smell the roses.

Medical notes
Mia is a bit on the chubby side, but is otherwise in good health.
Mia has muscle atrophy in her head and jaw, she lacks the full range of motion in her jaw and can't completely close it nor completely open it due to scar tissue, which we suspect formed during a bout of untreated masticatory muscle myositis. It won’t get any worse and has likely been this way for a few years.
Her blood results are good and show her organ function is as it should be.
She is up to date with vaccinations and parasite prevention, she is microchipped and desexed.
Despite the physical limitation of having a mouth that won't fully open or close, she is a happy, affectionate, playful, couch cushion of a dog!
