About Harrison Ford
Harry (Harrison Ford)
Mummy is a Labrador x Mastiff with the most amazing temprenet and Daddy is unknown
At 13 weeks he is already 12 kilos so this big chunky boy is going to grow into a big Boofa of a boy
If you are looking for love, cuddles, kisses and a whole lot of cheekiness and laughter….then Harry is the puppy for you! Harry did not have the greatest start in his puppy life after falling ill with a bug that had him crated for much longer than he would have liked. With lots of care from his foster mummy, he has come along in leaps and bounds and back to excellent health. He is a very affectionate little bloke and absolutely loves companionship, people of all ages including kids and dogs of all sizes. Harry adores company and is always ready to play. He listens when you say “no” although due to his illness, he has been slow at learning the “sit” command and toileting habits but with some love and patience and attention, he will learn this eventually as all his siblings have done.
PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM AND JUNK FOLDERS FOR YOUR APPLICATION EMAIL ONCE YOU HAVE SENT YOUR ENQUIRY
Harry has had 2 sets of puppy vaccines and had been wormed every 2 weeks since birth
Harry comes with one of our adoption packs including Lead.Harness and SEatbelt safety
Harry sleeps well right through the night from 8pm until 7am. He is then ready for breakfast and play. He loves a couple of naps during the day after his playtimes and looks forward to lunch and dinner although his Royal Canin puppy kibble is slowly being increased to eventually have two meals per day. He is currently eating three meals per day down from initially having four. He is a guts and a go slow bowl will be a well advised item! Lol. He drinks and eats very well and his toileting is consistent and good. Like all puppies, Harry loves to chew on anything and therefore, lots of toys and Kongs with treats (puppy kibble at this stage) will be a great distraction. It is advised during his puppy months to keep anything you value out of his way. Harry becomes a bit sooky when his foster mummy leaves for a short time to go to the shops or the like, however, neighbours have said this soon ceases after about five minutes. Therefore, a nice grassy backyard with shade and lots of toys is going to be a must, with human interaction or even a nice and tolerant furry companion will be ideal to show Harry the way and keep him company while you are at work. He can entertain himself with his toys, however, a furry companion would be even better in filling his days and tiring him out! Being part Mastiff breed, Harry is going to be a sensational family member with love, loyalty and intelligence.
Harry has not been assessed with cats, however given he is a puppy and exploring new things, he may enjoy a friendly and TOLERANT cat however PLEASE be aware he has not experienced this as yet. Harry has not long had his first vaccinations and therefore has not yet had any walks on a lead. He has been fine in the car in a crate. Overall, Harry is an absolutely delightful little chap. He is full of energy and is ready for life!
OBEDIENCE
Harry is learning the word “no” when the odd shoelace and shoe takes his fancy. He may repeat his love for these items, however, does listen and stop and move away when told “no”. he will then move onto a sock lol! He is a normal, active and adventurous puppy just waiting for the right people to help him learn and experience all the adventures in life. He is quite good at being bathed in the laundry sink. He is a bit wiggly but generally allows bath time to occur. Harry is ready to learn therefore, his new family will need patience and the time to help him with this. Careful of those puppy pin teeth if you have children! Lol. It is not a secret puppy teeth can hurt quite a bit.
ENRICHMENT
Harry is extremely playful and happy to be inside or outside. He has been outside quite regularly during the last of the sunny days we have been lucky to gain before winter. He will be a BIG doggo, so needs space and lots of walks. He has not yet slept outside, however enjoys bathing in the sun and playing with his toys. He loves to explore and is generally quiet unless he is barking at his older foster friend to come and play. He does like to chew on plants so you will need to have things up high for a short time while he learns your commands. He loves his stuffed toys and especially the small squeaky ones. He loves a game of ball and tug-o-war although his teeth are still developing therefore, gentle games are best.
SLEEPING
As mentioned earlier, Harry sleeps well right through the night in his crate. He has had a tall metal play pen surrounding his crate inside so he can wake in the morning and play. He is then put outside with his foster friend. A nice warm kennel/crate would be lovely in the winter months or a warm laundry, back porch. He has been inside thus far. Somewhere he feels warm and secure.
SOCIALISATION
Harry appears to love anyone and everyone and furry friends. Although he has not mixed with other furry friends until he had his immunisation, he does love his foster friend and being a puppy, appears to want to interact with doggos he has seen from the arms of his foster mummy. I have no doubt Harry will enjoy meeting other furry friends and would enjoy a gentle brother or sister already living at your home.
DIET
Harry currently eats Royal Canin dry kibble for puppies three times a day. He is a guts and loves his food so he may require a go slow bowl! He is a healthy, growing boy!
HYGIENE
Harry is in good health and growing well. He tends to step in his poop at times when excited and may require a nice paw wash until he grows a little more, however is great with using puppy pads, therefore, teaching him where his designated areas to go are and using a poopy may might be a good thing. His coat is shiny and smells wonderful after his bath in addition to his delightful normal puppy scent. His baby breath is great!
TRAVEL/CAR
Harry has only experienced car travel when attending the vet for his desexing and immunisation. He sits well in his carry crate in the rear of the car. I have no doubt he will enjoy car rides with the correct restraints.
IDEAL HOME
Harry is a normal, active and growing pup. He loves to play as many hours of the day he can, otherwise he enjoys the odd nap in the sun and can amuse himself with his toys. A loving and patient family who has the time to put into Harry with his learning, walking and making him a part of everyday life will be the most suitable. A family with or without children and furry friends, although I feel Harry would love a companion to fill his days while you are at work. Harry is fast growing and will be a big dog and he will therefore need a SECURE and decent sized yard with a grass area and shade. Harry requires patience with his learning and puppy chewing as any puppy does. If he is taught the right way and his teachings are consistent, he will be an absolute well-behaved asset to your family as I have observed with other mastiff type breeds. A home where his humans are not gone all the time, but more likes to take him everywhere and include him on holidays and trips to the café and the like. Harry needs a loving home and family who understand he won’t be a puppy forever and will grow to be a large boy and a very well-behaved boy with the right training. He will require puppy and adult school so that you will get the most out of him and a well-behaved boy. He will be an intelligent lad with lots of love and loyalty.
Harry is a delight! He is a happy chappy and ready to be loved and respected and shown the way for both yours and his fulfillment. is an absolute angel. He is loving and affectionate and full of adventure. He is so very cuddly and warm!
