About Olive
*In foster care in Summer Hill, Sydney*
Born outside during the storms, Olive was rescued by some kind members of the Summer Hill community and is now a curious and energetic little lovebug!
Once Olive feels comfortable with her people and her surroundings, she's a total dynamo - romping with her toys, doing zoomies through the house and exploring all the cupboards. After a good workout she loves to snuggle with her favourite humans (belly rubs are always welcome!).
Her special party trick is perching on your shoulders and draping herself in a way that ensures the easiest access for pats and scratches :)
Olive's true love in life is the company of other cats, and she'll definitely be happiest in a home with another feline or two. She's quite impressionable though, and always eager to copy the leader of the pack - her current obsession is learning how to climb the clothes horse, just like her much-adored foster brother!
Like all Maggie's pets, Olive is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will be a calm environment full of love and affection, with lots of opportunities to run and play - ideally with another friendly kitty or two!
Because of my frightening start to life, I still get a bit nervous with loud noises and new experiences, so I'll also need a few dark, safe hidey-holes to escape to when I feel the need. Don't worry, though - I'll soon be back by your side, seeking a nice scratch behind the ear or a cuddle on the couch :)
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I’m still a kitten, so I split my day pretty evenly between playing and sleeping! But I'm ultimately a smoochy girl and enjoy cuddling up with other cats or in bed with my humans.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I have a tendency to panic when I feel scared, so I’d prefer a child-free home or one with older children only.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I love, love, LOVE other cats! Absolutely obsessed with 'em. But just be aware that timid cats, or ones who don't enjoy wrestling, might find me a bit overwhelming during playtime...
I've never met a dog before, but that doesn't mean I'm not open to it - I'll likely just need a slow and careful introduction.

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
