About Joey
Joey is a lot like a cat-dog who follows you around, sits with you, headbutts for attention and sniffs everything (really loudly!). Joey has been vet checked and cleared of any major issue (FIP, FIV, FeLV) but his body does look a little different as he has a congenital defect, and is missing muscle/tendon behind his shoulder blades.
Although he is definitely not a graceful mover, and can be clumsy when jumping or getting down from heights, nothing seems to slow him down. He does get a little jealous of his foster siblings but has also tried to make friends with our 2 x older resident cats.
Recently, Joey has decided he also likes cat-friendly dogs!
If you are interested, please come and meet Joey. He is initially shy but he will absolutely thrive with individual attention. Joey will be a perfect companion for someone out there.
Joey is litter-trained and is currently being socialised in my home with other foster kittens. Joey is currently eating Royal Canin Kitten dry food, and is currently on Advance Kitten wet food, with lots of clean water always available.
The $225 adoption fee includes:
So he lives his best and longest life, Joey must also be an INDOOR ONLY cat.
Medical notes
Joey has been tested and cleared of FIV and FeLV.
An x-ray has confirmed Joey has a congenital defect and is missing muscle/tendon. This condition will not worsen and does not require any medication or treatment. It may increase the chance of arthritis as he gets older.

To find out more information about this animal, or to organise a time to see them, please contact our foster carer listed who will take you through the adoption process.
Our animals are rescued from various pounds and shelters and placed in Foster Care until a permanent home can be found. Our volunteer Foster Carers are located throughout Sydney, Australia and are only too happy to assist you.
DCH Animal Adoptions relies solely on our adoption fees and the generous support of the community to continue our rescue work. Many times, we are faced with large veterinary bills due to the illness and injury that comes along with looking after pound rescues.
