About Jerry
Please meet JERRY, a handsome young Boxer/Rottweiler/Mastiff/Australian Cattle Dog born on 10 February 2022. A photo of his mum Luna is included in this profile. His dad was a blue cattle dog but we have no photos or information about him.
"Adaptable, intelligent, laid-back and lovable" is how his foster family describes this long-legged youngster.
Within 24 hours of arriving at his foster home, Jerry had settled in as if he'd always lived there. Initially a little wary of Jerry's size, his 7 yo human foster sister gave him the thumbs up, saying "he is a beautiful gentle giant".
Don't tell the other dogs, but Jerry is now the family favourite. He understands and follows the house rules. He understands the command "bed" once inside and waits patiently for treats and his dinner.
Jerry is very dog-friendly and loves to play with the 4 other smaller foster dogs in his family. He is even very tolerant of one of his "annoying" smaller foster brothers that herds him and chases him around.
Jerry is cat-tolerant.
His size and bark will scare away intruders and alert you to any visitors but he isn't a frequent barker and is gentle and kind to children and adults.
His ideal home will have at least one other compatible dog for him to play with and plenty of space for self-exercise.
If you're interested in meeting Jerry, PLEASE COMPLETE THE ONLINE ADOPTION APPLICATION at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ and an ARK volunteer will be in touch.
Jerry's adoption fee is $450 and he is chipped, vaccinated and desexed.
