About Nellie
Our girl came into care as a surrender. She is approximately 2 years old and has certainly had a litter of puppies in recent months.
She simply wants to crawl inside your jumper and steal all the love you have to give. Laps up affection like a sponge and walks lovely on lead.
She needs a family willing to help her build confidence, to learn what is appropriate and to show her the world is a beautiful place.
She doesn’t like being left alone and so will need help to build resilience to understand her human won’t be long.
She lays beautifully at your feet while watching TV and would make a great cafe dog-you know the ones … walk down the Main Street, sit and have a coffee and cake, share a little with her and then stroll home.
She will play with other dogs-she is a typical Kelpie that zooms and bows while playing so she would be equally happy as a single dog or with a buddy in her life.

OUR ADOPTION PROCESS
1.) You see a dog you like.
2.) Fill in our online adoption form by emailing us on farmdogzrescueinc@gmail.com
3.) Be sure to include any questions you may have on our adoption form. This form does not obligate you to adopt, it simply gives us an idea of your situation and needs.
5.) If you are successfully shortlisted, one of our volunteers will contact you to organise a time for you to meet the dog in question.
6.) A yard check will need to be conducted at your home.
7.) Should all go to plan, you will be welcomed to start your 2 week trial period immediately. 8.) The adoption fee will be required to be paid at the beginning of the trial period.
9.) During the 2 week trial period, we encourage you to follow all our instructions to ensure the dog settles into your family structure
10.) If during the trail period you should need any assistance or you decide that this dog is not for you, you are encouraged to contact our state adoptions coordinator ASAP. (The more notice the better, to ensure we have a foster carer available.)
Please note if the decision is made for you to return the dog your payment will be refunded to you in full, within 5 business days of the return of the dog.

We only consider applicants that have completed our adoption application form. The fastest way to have your questions answered is to include it in the application form. This will speed up your application with us, and help us communicate with you faster.
We are a volunteer run organisation, who have their own jobs during the day, we don't have someone manning our phones 24/7, therefore cannot respond to all inquiries immediately.
Please be patient with us, as the unpredictable nature of rescue may prevent us from clearing all enquiries regularly.
