About Rooby ~ Mastiff X Puppy(Rev.Apps 29/4/22)
Hi, my name is Rooby with a double “o”! I am a 10 week old mastiff x female puppy. Some say i look like i have ridgeback in me but being a mixed breed and a rescue we aren't to sure! I had a rough start to life but my fortunes changed for the better when I became a foster dog and I’m now a happy-go-lucky girl looking for my furever family.
I'm a cheeky, talkative little girl, especially when I see food coming my way! I absolutely love my food and love treats. As I'm still a small puppy i will need to be fed at least three times a day.
I've been learning to sit and I'm doing really well at this - actually I am awesome at this! I'm also great on the lead, staying right beside my foster mum and stopping at the kerb when asked to. I don't like to walk too far just yet as I’m still getting used to it and my legs need to get stronger as I grow.
I love a bone and a chew toy and I love to play games, especially chasing my foster mum around the garden when she has a rake or broom in her hand! I also love to bark at the leaf blower, it's a great game! Sometimes I get into trouble for chewing shoes and other things though, so I’m learning what I can chew and what I can’t. It’s a work in progress.
My foster mum lets me sleep in her lap sometimes and I really love it. But I will also lay down on my bed beside my foster mum in front of the TV or in my foster mum's office when she's working. Oh, and I am told I snore, but I don’t believe it!
I'm a little bit nervous around people I don't know and other dogs, but once I get used to them, I'm fine. I think I would be best living with people who have older children, as little ones can come up close to my face and I get a bit nervous. I tend to retreat behind my foster mum when this happens.
I currently live with a ginger cat and I really want to play with him. Sometimes he lets me and sometimes he hisses at me, but that’s Ok, as I’m cool with cats.
My foster mum is home most of the day, and I am OK if she goes out for a while as I just lay in the sun and chew my bone or toys, but boy, when she gets home I jump up and down and do circles! I am sooo excited! I would love my people to be home a fair bit while I am still young and getting used to the world. I’m pretty chilled out for a puppy though.
I’m still learning to pee outside all the time. I do it mostly, but sometimes I have a “wee” accident. But I definitely know that I have to poop outside – that’s a no brainer for me already!
I’m looking for a family who will love me and include me in their day to day lives. I don’t mind if I’m an only dog or with another calm dog, or a cat. I will repay you with lots of love and cuddles!
Love and hugs, Rooby xoxo
