Jasmine is such a sweetheart once you get to know her and a real cuddlebug. She is full of energy and loves to run around for hours. Jasmine is looking for a special person/family who will love her just as much as she will love them. Jasmine has come a long way since arriving in our home and her confidence has grown significantly. When Jasmine first arrived she would hide when guest came over, she didn't like being overly touched or picked up, and until she has full trust in you she will not allow you to pick her up (she will give a warning growl before biting). She did not like going on walks, and she would also growl and bite out of fear. Now Jasmine is one of the first dogs to greet guests at the door by running full bolt towards the door and leaping over furniture like its a mad race, Jasmine will follow guests around the house asking for attention and even cuddle up to them on the couch, Jasmine loves going for walks and greeting strangers and other dogs on our walks. Jasmine on occasion can still be a little timid when it suits her but she comes around very quickly, you just need to allow her the time to come to you and not chase her for attention. It is also super important that you give her a spot in the house that is her safe spot that while she is in her spot, you allow her to have her own time without being annoyed or touched. Jasmine can be puppy mouthy but if I tell her no , she does listen straight away and stop. She tends to only do this when she is super excited. Jasmine is very easy to read once you get to know her, and once she knows that you are respecting her boundaries she will trust you. You will still need to be firm with Jasmine and set your own boundaries and she needs to respect those. Jasmine loves to play with other dogs and is a super active dog and will need to go to a home with an active lifestyle and massive backyard or land. Jasmine is not the type of dog who will be happy sitting on the couch all day.
Food
Jasmine is currently being fed saviourlife premium puppy dry food (chicken). Jasmine has learnt to sit and wait for her food bowl to be placed before eating. Occasionally with her dinner she has been having boiled chicken which is her favourite food in the entire world. We also use boiled chicken as treats and for training
Sleeping
Jasmine likes to sleep close and will start at the end of the bed and by morning will be snuggled in nice and close. Jasmine sleeps through the night and will not get up until you wake up. During the day she will either nap at your feet or at her spot.
Walking/training/toileting
Jasmine has been doing fantastic on her walks. You must at all times use a harness when walking Jasmine. Daily walks are a must. Jasmine loves going for walks, she loves meeting people and other dogs while out on walks. You must not rush her, let her sniff, let her sit and look around, let her listen to noises, positive praise, take her places, but do not overwhelm her. We have been taking Jasmine for two walks a day so she gets used to daytime and night time walks. On our walks she has seen cats, dogs, foxes, and kangaroos.
Jasmine can sit, drop and stay and knows what no means. She will come when you call her name. Jasmine will take food gently from your hand. Jasmine will need to attend puppy school to further her training and socialisation.
Jasmine is fully toilet trained and has not had any accidents inside the house. However, in her new home I would expect her to have a few accidents until she is comfortable with her new surroundings. Encouraging Jasmine to go straight outside to toilet as soon as she wakes up from a nap/sleep will help with her toileting and positive praise.
Exercise/toys
Jasmine loves water play be it the water bowl or the shell pool outside. She also loves to run and run fast and leap. It would be great to see Jasmine's family put her in agility dog training. Jasmine also loves playing with the other dogs in the house and playing zoomies. Jasmine's favourite toys are anything that makes noise.
Dogs/Cats
Jasmine is currently living with many other dogs of all different ages and different breeds. Jasmine loves playing with the dogs that she is currently living with. A home with a male medium/large dog would be preferred for Jasmine, but homes with no dogs will also be considered.
Jasmine has not been tested with cats
Children
Jasmine has been living with teenage children. Due to Jasmine being mouthy Jasmine will not be going to a home with small children. If you have teenage children they must have recent dog experience.
