Hi, my name is Fel, I’m a handsome little boy and not as big as most male dogs. Sadly, my owners can’t keep me due to new living circumstances, so now I’m staying with people that don’t allow me to sleep inside which is making me very unhappy.
I’m well trained although my new owners will need to take me to obedience school to gain leadership skills with me. SRV highly recommend a Growly Grovers session for handling & management purposes for my reactivity.
I was attacked by a Rottweiler when I was younger so I can be reactive with some dogs, the larger ones scare me more. My current owner has good control over me when we’re out walking so I’m well behaved but if a dog starts barking at me I will become very anxious and tense because of my fear, so I will need an experienced Stafford owner to adopt me.
I’m extremely active so don’t be fooled by my age, I’m very fit & healthy. I love playing with toys, ball, tug of war although I won’t let go unless you coax me with food.
I know how to sit, drop, shake hands, come here, fetch/go get it, roll over, wait, leave it, no and I’m clicker trained with the command ‘good boy’ followed with a treat, my recall is OK unless I’m distracted. I need to be taught impulse control for patience I don’t get over excited.
I’m happiest being indoors with my family who need to be calm & consistent in how you care for me and to also be the leader of the pack. I love back scratches, belly rubs, watching TV with my owners and walks.
I need someone home a lot, I get very lonely if left alone for too long, when that has happened in the past I have been known to escape! I’m an opportunist and will take myself for a walk if the front door is left open. I am on anxiety medication at the moment but with the right owners this can hopefully be stopped.
Storms, fireworks scare me a lot, so I need someone that is going to be home if storms are predicted or to take me with them if they are going out. I love the car and will look out the window or fall asleep on the seat.
