About Fin ~ 1yr Old Kelpie X (On Trial 21/5/2022)
It is with great pleasure we introduce the most amazing boy, Fin McCool. Fin is a 13 month old Kelpie X that will fill your heart with love, loyalty and joy. This complete knock out is looking for his new forever home, where he will be cherished, loved and adored.
Fin may not have had the best start but with love and affection, Fin has blossomed into the most amazing love bug who wants nothing more than to be near his humans and love them unconditionally. Fin adores playing with his four fur foster brothers and sisters although smaller dogs find him a little excitable. Fin shows mild amusement to the family cat but steers clear with absolutely no issues. He shows no food aggression and happily eats everything now that food is plentiful.
Finn loves to run around the yard with the zoomies and show off to his humans at how fast he can run back to you for a hug! His favourite thing is being on the lounge with his people and generally following you around always ready for an adventure or a snack! He also loves to wrestle with his dog friends and has plenty of energy for it.
Finn is excitable but calms quickly with pats and needs a family that wants to love him. He is a working breed dog with lots of energy so will suit a family with working breed experience and an active lifestyle. Finnigan is happy to spend time outside on his own however he would prefer to share his time with another female doggo friend if his humans cant be home with him. Fin will need a large yard with 6ft colourbond (or similar) fencing with no small holes or gaps to ensure he is kept safe and secure. He is not suited to rural properties with chicken mesh or wire fencing.
Finn needs further training with walking in leash and some basic manners still because he's a puppy at heart he can forget sometimes. He is a quick and smart little guy with immense intelligence and need for mental stimulus so he learns quickly and thrives on your approval and praise. With correct and consistent teaching and instruction, this boy is sure to be the perfect family companion. He will not suit first time dog owners, and will not be rehomed to a family without a history of working breed dog ownership.
Fin loves children but as he can get excited and sometimes overwhelm small children with his energy, he is best suited to a home with older dog savvy children over 6years of age. Generally kids would be a great compliment to him because he just loves to run and play.
If you and your family want the most adorable, loyal , smart, loving and amazing boy and have some time for the small amount of work he needs this boy is your man.
Finn's adoption fee is $500 which includes all up to date vet work. He is microchipped, desexed, vaccinated and treated for fleas and worms.
Finn is located in the Cardiff area NSW, and is available for interstate adoption pending approval. We encourage any questions or further enquiries to his foster carer Amanda on a.lewis-fairfull@hotmail.com
