About Dash
Gorgeous little Dash is now in the search for his forever family
This sweet little Jack Russell x Mastiff ( Yup thats what he is lol ) is definitely a package of fun weighing in at only 14 kilos at 8 months of age so we don't think he will grow much bigger than a very smaller size med boy .
Dash is a spunky and young doggo who wants to be around you. This little one will keep you on your toes as he bounces around and plays with his toys. He will appreciate all the time you invest into him. When you open the door to see him, he will come right up to you begging for attention. Donât forget to rub that belly! He enjoys short to moderate walks depending on how much attention you give him throughout the days. Dash can get nervous around bigger dogs but we believe there is an opportunity to change this. He has not had much social interaction up until recently so hopefully with time and effort, he will get along with more furry friends. Till then, he will probably much rather being close with human friends instead. In terms of his coat, Dash has short hair which is very easy to maintain.. When bathing Dash, he tolerated a bucket of soapy water well and sponge before rinsing off.
PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM AND JUNK FOLDERS FOR YOUR APPLICATION ONCE YOU HAVE SENT YOUR ENQUIRY
Dash comes with one of our adoption packs including Harness,Lead and Seatbelt safety attachment
Dash arrived to us from a pound where he was terrified of the outside world.
It was very clear to us that he had never left his backyard, had little training and definitely not been socialised with other dogs
Dash has come a very long way and in the right home will mature into an amazing member of the family
OBEDIENCE
Dash is lacking behind some common commands however that is because he has some catching up to do. He is responsive to his name, âsitâ and improving on âwaitâ. He is improving quickly in the short time we have had him. We feel that Dash wants to learn! Dash also seems to be toilet trained and loves being both indoors and outdoors. We have had in inside most nights as it is getting a bit chillier!
When Dash arrived he had absolutely no idea how to walk on a lead but he is now thriving in this area and enjoys a good daily walk
ENRICHMENT
Dash loves people! If you leave him alone for the day, he might just be chewing his pillow haha. So we recommend a walk to start the day and plenty of toys, especially those squeaky ones to keep him occupied. He also loves to lay down in a sunny spot. He has not dug any holes or destroyed any plants.but hey he's a pup so that's all still possible i guess .
SOCIALISATION
As mentioned above, Dash has some learning to do when being around other dogs. Occasionally, when walking past other furry pets, Dash has had some sneaky growls. We believe this will improve the more he gets walked. WE will be seeking an only dog home as Dash still needs to learn how to interest with other dogs and play nicely. He will need an experienced home that are willing to put in the time and effort to socialize him in a controlled endowment and ensure he has only positive experiences as we have had him with another dog but this took time and patience and we can definitely see he has great potential BUT we would hate to see this not managed properly and for Dash to go backwards
We have not tested Dash with cats so will not be adopting him to a cat home
FOOD
Dash eats a combination of Prime 100 rolls and Hills Science Diet puppy biscuits morning and night. He also loves dried treats when training.
Dash is not aa fuss pot
HYGIENE
Hygiene is easy to maintain, heâll just need a wash if he gets dirty (tolerated a bucket of soapy water, yet to try a low pressure hose).
TRAVEL/CAR
Once Dash jumps into the back seat, he is very relaxed. He will sit down and stare at you as you drive.
Dash has been great in the car and travels very quietly
IDEAL HOME
We feel Dash would thrive in homes with any good company. He does not require a huge yard but does love to run and play or another furry friend as Dash is easily pleased with human interaction. He can be both and inside or outdoor pet. His new family will need to continue training and taking him out for walkies. Dash is an easily pleased spunky boy and can be your new companion friend.
Dash has so much love to give and if you are a fan of puppy cuddles and love Dash is your man
