About Snoopy ~ 6mo Catahoula X (On Trial 27/05/2022)
PLEASE NOTE: Dog Rescue Newcastle provide individual listings specific to each foster dog that comes through our doors. Each listing outlines the specific requirements, and home that we are looking for. Should you submit an application OR inquiry and NOT receive a response within 5 business days (Monday-Friday), please understand that you have not met the specific requirements of the foster carer and will not be proceeding to the next stage. Please do not be disheartened or discouraged if you do not receive a reply, this simply means you were not a suitable match at this time. Dog Rescue Newcastle reserve the right to not reply to unsuitable applicants and will not tolerate bullying, intimidation or harassment of our volunteers.
Meet the handsome Snoopy 🐶, a cheeky 6 month old Catahoula x Wolfhound.
Snoopy is a big puppy with a gentle nature who is just happy to be in your company.
Snoopy is a happy boy who is growing and learning very quickly. Snoopy's toilet training is on point and he will let you know if he needs to be let out. Snoopy is quite good at sitting when told, his also good at coming to his name, but he don’t really like to listen to much else. (we are working on it though, and it should be easy with his love for treats!)
Snoopy is going to be a BIG dog who needs to be on a BIG property, or even better a farm where he can learn to put his energy into working. Snoops would be great with an older dog to teach him the ropes but any other dog would need to be roughly his size with an introduction. Snoops is also more than happy in his own company, he loves his outside environment and to sniff around the yard.
Snoopy loves a good wrestle with his two puppy siblings at the moment. He could play for hours running laps around the yard, when he is finally tired he is a sucker for human attention though.
Snoopy is a little jumpy, and if there’s food or rubbish lying around the ground, he will be straight onto that the second you turn your head. Snoopy will need lead training as he hasn’t quite figured that out yet and will also benefit from some further training as he is a very hyperactive dog who needs to stimulate his mind.
We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All puppies will need plenty of affection, exercise, and training to ensure proper boundaries and routines are established. This will ensure that you get the best family member/friend possible.
Snoopy is ready for desexing now. We are hoping to line up Snoopy’s desexing with his hopeful trial run due to our current circumstances, having another two very playful dogs here as it will be hard to keep him from possibly tearing his stitches as he is a very playful dog himself. It would also be good timing for snoopy to adapt to his new home while he is recovering from desexing. Although this is not required because he could possibly go with another carer during his desexing period.
Snoopy will only available for adoption to Newcastle, Hunter, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens. Please NO apartments NO courtyard applications as he will be a larger dog so will need plenty of space.
For more information or to meet Snoopy, please contact his carer Ebony on ebsdrnfoster@gmail.com to register your interest in adopting Snoopy you can fill out the adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
PLEASE NOTE: When applying for our dogs and puppies, please ensure to list the name of the dog you wish to adopt. Please do NOT just list the reference number or the microchip number as this will delay your application reaching the correct foster carer.
Snoopy is in foster care in Bonnells Bay NSW. Snoopy is not available to interstate adoption. Snoopy’s adoption fee is $600 includes all up to date vet work. He is vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped and will be desexed.
