Rosie is looking for a Sponsor or Guardian Angel. Can you help?

Rosie is a gorgeous little girl – and it is no wonder with all the beauty sleep she gets. If her foster carer doesn’t pick her up out of her bed in the morning and carry her to her breakfast bowl she will continue with her slumber. Dinner time is a different story though. If you are running late with feeding Rosie she will whine as a gentle reminder.
Rosie is great with other dogs. She is friendly and if they aren’t interested in engaging with her she walks away. Sometimes she may initially freeze when she sees a new dog, but she is never reactive. She is a sweet little girl and gets on well with the 12 year old cavalier x (male) dog she shares her foster home with. Rosie isn’t keen on her collar/harness being put on when it is walk time but once she gets going she is happy to walk and is good on lead. She really enjoys her exercise and loves two decent walks a day where she can get out and about and check out the world around her. Rosie knows her name and understands the commands to come and stop. She is perfectly house trained and will go to the door to let you know she needs to go outside. She is very food orientated so some time spent with training and treats would most definitely see her to be a receptive learner for any new commands. She sleeps through the night, and would sleep right through the day too if you would let her. Rosie loves to curl up next to you and sleep or cuddle, although she doesn’t really like being picked up and held.
Rosie would be fine in a home with another dog, but would also be just as happy to be the only dog and to be the centre of attention – of course who wouldn’t want that! If she is an only dog, she would love to have you home a lot so she can share your day with you. Rosie’s new home will also need secure fencing as she is small and can squeeze under low gaps in a fence or under a gate.
Rosie has so much love to give. She was definitely a loved dog before coming into our care. She will be a great companion and with her in your world life will be so much brighter.
Rosie is not tested with cats.

All our dogs are desexed, C5 vaccinated with intranasal, microchipped, wormed, and flea treated. All necessary vetwork such as dentals, surgery, eye treatment are also carried out. We are no longer heartworm testing as we have not had one positive test since we began in 2006. If a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer free assistance for six weeks for any issues, a lifetime takeback policy with full refund of the adoption fee, and will always be available to offer advice.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
If you are still interested, please download an application form from our website:

Please note that we do not take/make telephone calls prior to receiving an application.
Commonly asked questions and their answers are provided when you email us. Unfortunately we usually will not have time to reply to enquiries in more detail and will give priority to completed applications over enquiries. Priority will also be given to typed applications which are easier for us to read and to copy relevant parts.
We look forward to receiving your application.
