About Scotia
It’s time for our beautiful girl Scotia to find her forever family. Whoever is lucky enough to adopt this gorgeous pooch, is going to enjoy a lifetime of cuddles and adventures- she’s seriously divine!
Scotia is smart as a whip. She really thinks things through and works out her options with caution. Her sister was first into everything, but Scotia prefers to sit back and think things through before getting involved. She is very playful and is a little pocket rocket once she knows her surroundings. She is very people orientated and absolutely loves a cuddle and just wants to be with you. Her foster carer is building up her independence.
Training is fun with Scotia. She loves to listen and interact with you and is eager to learn new things. Her toilet training skills are coming along really well. She has been working on basic training and how to walk on a leash. She enjoys exploring on the long line and already has a good recall. She sleeps through the night in a crate and is a lovely housemate during the day as long as she is monitored appropriately for her age.
She is a working breed and needs sufficient mental and physical stimulation daily to avoid unwanted behaviours. She is very social and loves to play with her foster siblings (large breed dogs) with lots of excitement. She will need continued, proper socialisation with other dogs, people and the big wide world to ensure she grows up into a happy adult dog. She Is very happy to watch the outside world with you and also keen to explore. She will be a great family dog who is also ready for adventure, play and of course a cuddle. Scotia has been learning to love the water while in care and would be very happy if her new family took her out to have some water play time!
Scotia came from rural NSW with her sister and is slowly learning all about family and Sydney life. She can sometimes be a little shy in new situations, but quickly warms up with correct handling. She is not for first time dog owners. She has the potential to live with cats as she is in foster care with a dog friendly cat, but Scotia may chase cats that retreat from her/run if not trained appropriately.
Scotia would be happy as an only dog if someone is around most of the time or would love another dog as long as they are friendly and confident. Any resident dog must be ok to have an energiser bunny around. Scotia will be ok in either city or country life as long as her needs are met. She will be ok to be rehomed to a family with kids as long as the children know how to act and engage with a puppy appropriately and the handlers are experienced with working breeds and their behaviours around children.
Scotia is looking for a home where she will be allowed inside as part of the family and be provided a warm, comfy bed inside to sleep on of a night. If Scotia’s good looks and charm are what you’re looking for, then fill out an adoption application form from our website as the next step in the process.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
