About McKenzie
I'm trying a new home to see if i like it. Mckenzie was surrendered to the pound as her owners had no need for her anymore. By their own admission, mckenzie had been used as a breeding machine by them! like all our paws rescue dogs, she was desexed immediately so that she will never have another litter of puppies ever again. We believe that in her former life mckenzie has never been loved, enjoyed pats or cuddles and certainly has not heard kind words before so it is wonderful to see her behaviour changing. She is lapping up lots of attention, kisses and cuddles and is even starting to play in short bursts. Although mckenzie is still a little timid of people approaching, she is learning very quickly that people can be kind and even fun! mckenzie is the dearest little girl who really wants to be your friend. She is trying so hard to be brave and always nuzzles your hand and thanks you by giving gentle licks. Mckenzie is going to the park everyday and meeting lots of new people and experiencing different activities, including walking on a lead. She now gallops into the front garden with her tail wagging and is becoming quite a cheeky little monkey. With positive reinforcement and gentle direction, mckenzie will continue to blossom and gain confidence and courage as she really wants to please you and be a part of everyday life. Mckenzie is housetrained, is not a fussy eater, sleeps well through the night and doesn't dig or bark. We would like to rehome mckenzie with another dog for company and she must have access to the house as she is a house dog. Regular brushing and grooming is essential to manage mckenzie's beautiful shiny coat. Mckenzie comes desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, on heartworm prevention and with nsw local council lifetime registration for $350 and is not available for adoption outside nsw. She has also had a recent dental (teeth cleaned under anaesthetic). If you would like more information on mckenzie or to arrange to meet her, please phone 0466 690916 (between 8am and 7pm only) or email using adoption enquiry as your subject heading. Before phoning or emailing, please check denise's rescued dogs in foster care on www. Paws. Com. Au for any updated photos and to make sure this dog is still available for adoption.
