About Samson
About Samson now at PETQuarters Belmont!
All About Me and My Unique Personality:
Samson is a sweet, affectionate boy who loves to laze around. He's pretty much a couch potato and spends his time sleeping. He loves a pat and will reach out his paw to prompt you to give him a chin scratch.
Samson has feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) which means he will need to be rehomed as an only kitty. It is a fairly common condition which you can read up on here -https://www.petmd.com/cat/conditions/infectious-parasitic/c_ct_feline_immunodeficiency_virus_infection Samson has been identified as being in the Latent Infection period -The latent infection period has no symptoms and can last months to years. Many cats will not progress beyond this stage. He does have a broken canine tooth and a touch of gingivitis and is almost done with his antibiotics. Our Vets tell us that other than potential dental work down the track he's a happy, healthy boy who just wants to find a loving forever family.
My Ideal Home:
Samson would suit a quiet home without any other pets. He would make the perfect work or study buddy and is quiet happy sleeping the day (and night) away while you go about your life. He has been microchipped, desexed and is fully vaccinated. As with all our cats, Samson is rehomed as 100% indoor only, not only for his safety but for that of our wildlife.
Samson has tested positive for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) which means he will need to be rehomed as an only kitty. It is a fairly common condition which you can read up on here -https://www.petmd.com/cat/conditions/infectious-parasitic/c_ct_feline_immunodeficiency_virus_infection

What is Known About My Background:
Samson found himself in the local pound through no fault of his own and was offered to rescue. We think he's about 5yrs old and unfortunately nothing else is know about his background.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets:
He's a quite boy and is being rehomed as only kitty. He's not a fan of dogs either, so ideally will be the only animal in the home. He hasn't been tested with children, however he should be ok with older children who treat him gently and let him have his space when he needs it.
