Profile and needs in a home
Minx, also known as Minky, is a shy but very friendly and kind dog, who would love to find her forever home.
Minky loves going for long walks so will need an active home that can take her out for a long walk twice daily. While Minky loves going for long walks and runs, she is equally comfortable chilling on the couch with her favourite humans. She is not prone to barking excessively and she is fully house trained. Minx loves food and is not a fussy eater, so is especially animated around her mealtimes.
Like all of our dogs Minx must be permitted inside at all times with access outside and be permitted to cuddle on the couch and sleep in the bedroom.
Minx was found as a stray and while she is very loving towards and comfortable with her current foster carer, she is very suspicious of new people. She will need a family who understands that it will take her some time to come out of her shell, and who will be understanding of this. She will reward your patience with lots of love and affection once she gets to know you.
As a result of her nervousness, it would be best if she found a family that does not have any children.
Minky likes other dogs, so MUST go to a home with another calm, friendly and playful smaller dog. While she is ok with being left by herself, it would be beneficial for her to have a canine friend around and a home where her new owners are not away for long periods of time.
We do not know what she is like with cats.
Minx is a Chinese Crested Hairless Dog Cross. While her trunk was mainly hairless when we received her, it looks like she is currently starting to grow a thicker coat. She does not require a lot of grooming and she does not shed.
Please send us as much detail as possible on yourself and the home you are able to provide including your other dog and other pets if any, family members, lifestyle, exercise, mental stimulation and outings you will provide, how often Minx would be alone, where she will have access in the home and where she would sleep of a night, where Minx would go if you went away and could not take her with you, ability to cover vet expenses and any other information you wish to provide.
