Maggie is a big lovable sweetheart she is so gentle and has the softest nature. Maggie loves to just follow around her people, shes not fussed about being patted she just likes to be near you, wether that be laying at your feet or creeping up behind you and walking between your legs, just to let you know she is still there. Maggie would happily spend her days relaxing on the furniture and then having a bit of time bounding around the yard doing zoomies with a play mate, Maggie also enjoys playing tug-a-war with her big rope toy.
Maggie is great with other dogs, althou big she has been submissive to her foster brother and sister and has found her place in the pack quiet easily, she has also enjoyed spending time with a very hyperactive Lab puppy.
Maggie does have a pessimistic personality, she is nervous in almost all new environments and does take quite awhile to warm up to new places, situations and people. During her time in care she has been exposed to a range of new experiences which have put her well out of her comfort zone, including noisy young children, new people coming and going, balls bouncing etc, But with time and patients she is growing braver and more resilient every day.
Maggie’s ideal home would be with a older person/s or a family with older children (15+) Maggie would love a playmate to spend her days with, Maggie is still quiet young so she will fit in with a playful pup or an older dog. Her ideal person/s would be someone who can be patient, and calm, someone who is willing to give Maggie plenty of time to adjust, and to spend the time needed to help build her confidence.
