About Andy
Hi! I'm Andy and I'm looking for a new family to call my own.
APPLICATION PROCESS APPLIES FOR ANDY
PLEASE COMPLETE THE BELOW APPLICATION FORM
https://forms.gle/ucUXBxEpc1to4row5
NOTE: You are unable to meet Andy until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Andy in person.
What I need in my new home:
• BREED EXPERIENCE IS A MUST
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• No other dogs. I haven't been socialised with other dogs and will bark and growl at them. My new family will need to introduce me to other dogs in a safe environment so I learn that they can be fun to play with.
• NO cats, pocket pets or fowl - being a Kelpie I do want to chase them
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• No young children as when I'm excited I get very bouncy and mouthy, older children who will be involved with my training should be ok.
• Being an active breed I have a lot of energy so an active family is a must!
Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Small children due to being mouthy & bouncy
• Cats or small animals as I find them fun to chase
My best features:
• Very playful
• Wiggle butt
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
Where I need to improve / Training required
• I will require full basic training as I've had no training experience yet
• I'm learning to walk on the lead at the shelter and am getting much better, but I am still a bit erratic and will pull towards something I want.
• I can be a bit bouncy -training should stop this
