About McKinley
Hello Mr Stunning!
McKinley has both the looks and the personality to die for. He has a unique merle coloured smooth coat that makes him stand out from the crowd. McKinley has a curious and adventurous personality. He loves to be outside and exploring the garden doing lots of sniffing and playing. Once all of that is done, McKinley thoroughly enjoys cuddling up with you. He is an affectionate pup who loves scratches and attention.
This little boy is currently living with his sister and a number of dogs of various ages and sizes. McKinley does enjoy playing with his sister but is still building his confidence when meeting new dogs as he can be a little timid at first. He will need ongoing socialisation with other calm and friendly dogs in controlled environments. Off-lead dog parks/areas would be too overwhelming for him and not provide the appropriate positive experiences he requires. McKinley is going to grow a large size (we anticipate around 30-35kg) and will require substantial daily exercise and mental stimulation.
McKinley has begun basic training while in foster care. He has learnt to sit and is almost fully house trained. At night he is sleeping through the night in his crate without a peep. As McKinley is still a young puppy there is a lot more training that he will require. His new family will need to be committed to his ongoing training and development that extends beyond puppy school. He will also require gentle and appropriate exposure to new places and busier environments as he is currently living in a very quiet area.
We are looking for a dog experienced home where McKinley will be a part of the family. He will need a home with another calm adult dog who can be a good role model and/or where someone is home more often than not. McKinley will need be allowed inside to spend time with the family and will require a warm comfy bed to sleep on inside at night. He had some exposure to older children and would be best suited to an adult only household or one with older dog savvy children as he is definitely coming into the age for chasing, jumping and mouthing children. He has not been tested with cats but has shown interest in chasing the chickens in his foster home so would require the appropriate training to live harmoniously with other types of animals.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
