About Gato
Hello, human! Meet Gato. This boy's main motto in life is 'don't worry, be happy'. Life is too short to be stressed and his relaxed nature is very soothing to have around. It may be his Spanish background - his name means cat in Spanish! He's also very caring and protective and won't leave your side during the day especially if you're not feeling well.
Gato's most favourite things are his sunbake sessions, a good scratch behind his ears and under his chin. He wants to be wherever you are, he just plonks himself down in the middle like he's a little kitten, completely unaware of his size.
This reggae man spends his time indoors and is litter trained. He has an extra large covered litter box, and this is cleaned twice a day because he's a big boy. Gato has never lived with other animals but he has been around his 6-year-old human friend since she was born. Although he didn't enter her room until she was over 2 years old, he would always stand at her door if she was crying, alerting the parents by meowing. Thanks Gato, no baby monitor needed!
At this stage in Gato's life, he'd love to find a relaxed household without other cats or dogs. Too many people or kiddos may not align with his chilled temperament. As he doesn't leave his human's side, he dreams for you to be home more often than not.
Note: Gato is located in Hillsdale, NSW
Medical notes
Gato has been on Urinary Care dry food. He gets brushed at least once a month to keep his coat healthy. His nails also need a trim because he gets them caught on everything when they get too long. He's used to his previous owner doing this; however, it's suggested to take him to a groomer if you're not confident to brush and trim cat nails.
Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
