Kiwi

Hi, my name is Kiwi and I am a gentleman. I have loved staying with my foster parents for the last 7months where I have been able to put on some weight and get lots of love and attention. I am up to date with all my vaccinations, including Hendra, feet trims and dentals. I am super sweet and love being patted, brushed and hugged.

I love being around other horses and I am my best when I can be with my best mate Bobby. I really like Bobby being close by as this helps me to feel safe and secure. I will do best with an owner who understands me and can continue to support my training that has been started with my foster parents and Jen from Purely Positive. I am still learning to respond to light pressures and how to follow instructions, particularly when I am anxious. As you will see from my photos I don't mind having a saddle and bridle on and someone riding me.

I am pretty good with my feet and no problem for the farrier. I don't mind a bath and fancy a swim in the dam sometimes too! I am very gentle, so no problem around children or other animals.

I do get excited around meal times but have learnt to trust and wait patiently for my food to arrive. I'm healthy, fit and ready to find my new home. I have gained a lot of condition on good feed and also Gastric Aid to help my gut which is all good now too.

I will eat from a bucket, graze in a paddock or nibble from a hay net. I am really not fussy at all. I LOVE carrots and liquorice and always fancy a treat! Being a gentleman, I always say "please" (check out Kiwi's trick of turning his head to politely request treats). I spend most of my time in the paddock exploring and hanging out with Bobby. I have lots of love to give if you can love me too.
