About Ray
Hi all let me introduce myself. My name is Ray
I came into care with RSPCA in November 2021 as my owners could not provided me with the care I needed. I have spend many month now gaining condition after getting vaccinated, wormed, a dental and got my feet done by a farrier to get me off to a good start. I'm now fully vaccinated, including Hendra and up to date with all regulars treatment like worming.
I have been in foster for a last couple of months with my friend Bud. My foster family loves us dearly, but the are also very keen to find us our forever home.
I have been spending a lot of time in the paddock, putting on those much-needed pounds. I love spending time with my best mate, Bud, but I am becoming more independent as my confidence has grow. I love company and will have to go to a home with other horses, or even together with my mate Bud.
I'm easy to catch (especially with a carrot) easy haltering, tying and leading and am good to float and travel well. I love being groomed, easy to pick up all 4 feet. My foster mum says I'm perfect for the farrier and am getting braver with the fly spray but I like to have roll in straight after when you've groomed me ;-)
Not too keen being bathed, but will tolerate it and I'm keen to learn more about the world, some desensitization to new things needed but very inquisitive and love treat, like carrot or apple. In my foster home have lived with dogs, Alpacas and also a goat. https://www.rspcaqld.org.au/expression-of-interest-to-adopt
