About Logan
MEET LOGAN!
Logan is approximately 4 years young and fully vet worked, healthy and ready for his home. He is a bengal crossed with a domestic and has a MASSIVE personality, we are searching for a very specific home for him, one with experience, preferably with the bengal breed.
Logan has found himself back in rescue for the second time due to his personality and bad habits, Logan is a very naughty boy! He can be a real love bug and absolutely adores humans HOWEVER he also has a bad habit of biting! One minute he will be rolling around enjoying pats and the next minute he will grab your hand or ankle and bite - It's not aggressive or in anger and he has been seen by a behavioural vet and been on multiple different medications and come to the conclusion it's just him and he just needs an understanding home that will love him regardless, that can work on his behaviour with him. It is very possible he will grow out of it in the right home once he feels safe and settled but we must find an understanding home where his future is safe, incase he doesn't.
Logan does cuddle and LOVES to sleep on the bed with his humans and cuddle on the couch, he is affectionate and does show love, in his own way.
He has grown up with kids and also with other cats, he has no problem living with other cats as long as he can be the boss, so he would be fine living with a passive cat or 2, he currently is in foster care with 5 other desexed males (that he is the boss of!). We would recommend no kids due to his bad habit of biting suddenly and no elderly folk, a home that has experience with the bengal breed is preferred. He does have a bit of a "wild" streak from his bengal heritage and must have plenty of entertainment, towers to climb and interactive toys, he will need dedicated play time every day to keep him sane and we highly recommend an outdoor enclosure for him.
Logan must NOT be allowed outside on his own to roam etc as he will wander off and get himself into trouble and kill wildlife along the way. You could potentially harness train him as he is quite smart, however we can't guarantee he would cooperate due to his independent personality so a big house with lots of room to zoom around and climb or a house with an outdoor enclosure is a must.
If you give Logan a chance, he will absolutely show you love and companionship as long as you can look past his biting and ankle grabbing! Our rescue will be with you along the whole way while Logan settles in and provide you with all the support you need.
Please only apply if you feel you are comfortable and confident to give Cashew a home despite his feisty personality and everyone else in your household feels the same.
Medical notes
Logan is a young healthy adult cat, we highly recommend premium quality food only such as royal canin, advance, blackhawk, hills science diet, leaps & bounds etc. He prefers dry food over wet food though he does enjoy gravy food.
Adoption details
Thank you for your interest in a rescue cat! They can make the most wonderful friends and family members.
Our rescue cats have varied histories and stories and as such they each require a different home environment, we ask prospective adopters a series of questions aimed at making the perfect match so please dont be offended when asked questions. We do not adopt to a first in first serve basis and only adopt to the most suitable home possible. If you are outside Ballarat we ask that you make time to have a 30 minute video-chat with us and the kitty you are interested in so we can get to know you a little better and you can see the kitty in its home environment before coming up to Ballarat to adopt, if you are local then we hold a meet and greet at the foster home of the kitty. We only offer video chats and meet and greets to the most suitable homes.
All of our cats at Cat Lovers Ballarat are rehomed as strictly INDOOR ONLY cats and we ask that all prospective adopters only apply if they are capable and comfortable with this.
Please have patience with us as we go through all applications and make our decisions to move onto phase 2 and offer meet and greets, this can take days and sometimes a week to go through, you will be contacted whether you are successful or not.
Thank you again for your interest in one of our rescue cats!
