About Chuck ~ 1yr Old Bull Arab X(On Trial 6/10/22)
PLEASE NOTE: Dog Rescue Newcastle provide individual listings specific to each foster dog that comes through our doors. Each listing outlines the specific requirements, and home that we are looking for. Should you submit an application OR inquiry and NOT receive a response within 5 business days (Monday-Friday), please understand that you HAVE NOT met the requirements and will not be proceeding to the next stage. Please do not be disheartened or discouraged if you do not receive a reply, this simply means you were not a suitable match at this time. Dog Rescue Newcastle reserve the right to not reply to unsuitable applicants and will not tolerate bullying, intimidation or harassment of our volunteers.
This cuddly boy is Chuck. He is a 1yr old Bull Arab X Border Collie with ALL of the loving to give. Hes handsome, has an amazing personality and loves to get out and about, what's not to love!?
Chuck loves to be by your side and is happiest when sharing the couch with you. Chuck currently happily plays outside during the day with his fur sibling, and absolutely loves it when you're out enjoying the days with him. A true people pleaser at heart, Chuck loves a game of fetch and is fast learning sit, stay, wait and stop.
Whilst he has come so far, Chuck needs a new family who are committed to continue with his training including supporting him to feel comfortable with new people and environments especially when he is on the lead, as he has not had a lot of practice with this yet. His ideal home will give him lots of attention, and have someone who is home more often than not. Too much attention is still not enough for Chuck and he would ideally be an only pet. He would benefit from someone who is willing to work with a trainer to help guide Chuck through his insecurities to ensure he keeps being the worlds best doggo.
Chuck has been living the high life and MUST be allowed to sleep inside where he can see you. This is where he feels most at home, and just wants to be your best friend. Chuck is a medium-large sized dog with a gorgeous personality and happy smile. He will need consistent and daily exercise to remain a happy healthy pup. Due to his size and energy levels being a young pup, Chuck will not suit homes with young children 5yrs or younger.
Chuck avoids cats at all costs and finds it best to pretend they are not even there. He loves to play with his fur sibling, however will need slow and steady introductions to other dogs. He will need further training and consistency when meeting unfamiliar dogs, and will not suit a dog park setting. He will need time to decompress and settle in his new home, so applicants who understand rescue dogs and settling in will be highly preferred.
This big softy will need a 5-6ft colourbond or similar fence and a good size yard so he can do plenty of zoomies and continue playing fetch. He will not suit apartments, courtyards or rural settings without secure fencing. No small holes or gaps.
Chuck's adoption fee of $400 covers all up to date vet work. Chuck is desexed and vaccinated and located in the Newcastle NSW region. He is up to date with his vaccinations and are ready to move to his new home.
