About George
Well hello there, my name is George. I’m an 8 year old male Mini Fox Terrier.
Let me tell you about myself…..
When I meet new people I am a little nervous but my foster mum found my kryptonite really quick – fetch – OMG do I loooooove playing fetch!
Any nervousness that I have goes out the window in .0001 seconds and I have been known to demand to play fletch from my foster family when they have forgotten to throw the ball for me.
I love being around people and just want to be wherever you are, I don’t have separation anxiety but I do have FOMO (Fear of Missing Out)
I could happy being an only fur child or with another small dog – please note I am not a fan of those annoying little young ones my foster mum calls puppies – yep nope not interested at all!
I am not a fan of these lead things that I have to wear – a walk around the block is not for me – give me some backyard where you can play fetch with me and I am one happy boy. I do also like a good lap snooze after a good game of fetch.
I am also in a home where there are 3 boys who will play fetch with me, let me hang out with them, sleep on their beds – that is the life I think!
Oh yeah my foster mum said I should tell you that I’m also good with cats – I know who would have thought it – just as long as that cat doesn’t try and take over fetch we will be fine.
I think a family who likes to have a sleep in, or will let me will be great – I do like a good old sleep in most mornings
I am toilet trained but very nervous using a doggy door – so that would be something we would need to keep working on.
My foster mum has also said I’m good in the car if you just want that friend to ride shotgun with you and keep you company.
My foster mum says I have good manners, I know how to sit, stay etc but she did say that I am a bit chatty sometimes and will be vocal if you have forgotten to play fetch with me, or I am wanting your attention – but its all done with love and your happy to chat back to me if want.
If you think you could make me part of your family & are interested in applying to adopt me, please send thru an adoption application.
** Please note applications will close Friday 15th April 2022 at 5.30pm

All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.

Please Note: We do not hold any animals so please only apply if you are ready to adopt now
Please note - We don't take calls on adoption enquiries - an application must be completed

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
