About Samar
Ummm hello show stopper ! This sweet girl now known as Samar made the long journey to us from a rural NSW facility and isn’t she just divine?! If you love and appreciate what it means to own a working dog then this girl might be your dream pup.
Samar has slotted into foster care really well and is enjoying all things that family life brings. She is living with her sister and two other adult dogs and is very social. She plays like a typical over the top excited puppy and will need management with her interactions with other dogs to ensure she knows what’s appropriate play and when enough is enough. She should be ok to live with dog savvy children as long as they interact with her appropriately and can respond appropriately if she starts herding them ! We are looking for a working dog experienced home for Samar and someone who is going to provide her with enough physical and mental stimulation to keep her happy.
This girl is BUSY! No time to rest in Samar’s day. She loves exploring, playing and training. She’s super smart and loves learning new things. She can be slightly stubborn but with clear communication and continued training she will become the best dog. She is exceptionally loyal already and loves to please her people. If you stimulate her enough, she will then happily give lots of cuddles and kisses and is quite an affectionate little girl.
Samar is learning new things every day. She has just started leash work and doesn’t like it much, but is very smart so with committed owners will be out strutting her stuff in no time. She will thrive off consistent training and stimulation.
Samar would be happy as an only dog if someone is around most of the time or would love another dog as long as they are playful and confident. Any resident dog must be ok to have an energiser bunny around. She can be quite vocal to try and get what she wants from either people or other dogs.
Samar will be ok in either city or country life as long as her high needs are met. She’s not a couch potato and craves engagement and mental and physical outlets. She will need someone dedicated to continued training and socialisation. She is in care with a cat and was quite barky at the cat to begin with. She is learning to be more calm in the cats presence, but has a way to go. We feel she has the potential to live with dog savvy cats and handlers who know how to do correct and slow introductions.
Samar is looking for a home where she will be allowed inside as part of the family and be provided a warm, comfy bed inside to sleep on of a night.
Beside this girl’s adorable looks, she is just an absolute delight and is going to make the most incredibly loyal dog for the right family. If Samar’s fluff and enthusiasm for life sounds like what you’re missing in your life, then fill out our adoption application form from our website as the next step in the process.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
