Rufus

Rufus is a really affectionate, sweet cat. He rubs on everything and everyone and lowers his head for pats & scratches on the back of his neck and chin. And when you stop he taps your hand gently with a soft paw to ask for more.

It wasn’t always this way… Rufus must have had good experiences in the past with people as he is now so affectionate and we think he must have been abandoned. Directly before coming into SAFE Rufus was living in a cat colony and it took him a while to understand that at SAFE he was back in a world full of pats and affection. But this trust came slowly and when you take him home it will probably take him a while to adjust to another new environment again. We think it will help if he goes to a quiet with no young children. One thing’s for certain – once you earn his trust you will be more than rewarded with love and affection!
