Hank

Greetings humans! My name is Hank and I'm on the search for my forever home.

I came to the shelter after spending the first year of my life as a stray, which is not ideal for a young growing boy like me. The staff here noticed I had an ouchie of my leg from being bitten by another cat whilst on the streets. Good news is that I have healed up nicely so I'm eager to find my own humans to take me home and keep me safe!

I still get a bit spooked sometimes, so I have some medication to help me cope with the day to day unpredictably of the shelter, which will also be helpful when settling me in to a new home. I'm still getting used to humans so I do need an owner who had experience with kitties like me, and no children as my behaviour can be too subtle for them to understand. Once I trust you though I am very sweet and love to have head scratches!

Now, enough of the boring stuff, here's some cool things about me!! I absolutely LOVE food and will sometimes try to jump out of my cage with excitement at feed times. I like to meow at my empty bowl and try to trick the staff into feeding me extra brekkie, it never works but I'll never give up! Another very important thing you should know is that I love string toys, especially the ones with feathers and little bells on them! It's so much fun to hunt and chase
around because I get to pretend I'm out in the wild but really I'm safe indoors!
