About Jake
Meet Jake,
Jake is a quiet and shy boy who was surrendered to the RSPCA with his brother Boof as their owners couldn't give them the time they deserved. These two brothers are now waiting for that super special person who has enough love to give to adopt them both together as they can not bare to be separated.
Jake can be a little shy and reserved but gains a lot of confidence from his brother Boof, once he gets to know you he'll be the bestest companion. They will need a home that is on the quieter side and a family that can spend plenty of time building his confidence and showing him the world is a fun place and that having human friends is the best. The boys previous owner told us that they can be scared of storms. Their new family will need to help them feel safe and secure during storms and will need to have strategies in place to make this happen. Our knowledgeable and helpful team will be able to assist with this.
We would love our new family to show us all that life has to offer, we have not been exposed to much or experienced much outside of racing, so taking it slow with us would be the best, we can experience everything together for the first time, we would love to go on daily strolls, have play time in the yard, trips to the beach or café, pretty much just being with our new family is all that we want.
Jake and Boof have not shown much interest in any other dogs apart from each other, so it would be best if they were the only 2 dogs in their new home, it would also be in their best interest to stay away from any off leash areas especially due their racing background. They will also need to go to a home that does not have any smaller animals like cats or pocket pets.
Jake and Boof will need to meet all family members before they are able to go home, and if he is to have human siblings they'll need to be 12 years or older, so that they can understand that the boys might need some time and space to settle into their new life.
In their previous home the boys have been known to love their food and they aren't a fan of sharing. Their new family will need to be aware of this and have management strategies in place to make sure they both feel safe and happy while eating, and making sure all humans and other animal give them space while they are enjoying their tucker and favourite treats.
If you think you can provide these two beautiful boys with all their needs and more. Please head on down to our Sydney shelter to meet them and speak to one of our friendly staff members about adoption.
