About Sabre 🐟
I know you’re probably thinking ‘here we go, another black and white cat’, but please hear me out 🥰
My foster family call me Sabre, but honestly, you could call my name 50 times….I’ll come when I’m ready 😉
I lost my mum at a very young age (I can’t even tell you what happened to her….she just never came back for me 😢) and I knew nothing about humans, so you can imagine how scared I was when I ended up in a foster home with these ‘humans’ wanting to cuddle me 😕
When I’m feeling nervous and unsure, I’ll find a really good hiding spot and stay put, until my belly starts rumbling for food (and I do love my food!). But when I’m feeling more comfortable in my surroundings, you’ll see me a lot more frequently….I’ll be happy to get head and back scratches, sit close to you and tolerate being held. I really do love your attention, but it takes me some time to trust you.
I love other cats, and it’s probably done me the world of good having Brody as my foster brother, because he’s so confident around people….but he also wants ALL the attention 🙄 He does keep me amused though and we play well together.
My foster mum says I have the most beautiful coat and silky soft tail. She also says that my beauty spot on my chin is adorable 🥰
I’m a cat that likes routine and familiar faces, so I know I’m going to be a nervous wreck when it’s time to leave my comfort zone and head off to my forever home, but I have some great tips for you to help me settle in nice and quick 😉
My forever home will need to be a quiet and calm place, and whilst I’m sure kids would be entertaining for some cats, they would cause me too much anxiety…..Older kids who understand that I need time and space I could handle, just not the little ones 😕
As previously mentioned, I love my food 😍 I’m currently eating a mix of Royal Canin kitten dry, Blackhawk kitten dry, some Ziwi Peak (as a treat) and fresh kangaroo mince.
You’ll be happy to know that I use my litter tray like a pro, and unlike my foster brother (Brody), I don’t make a mess when covering my business 😉
Having another feline friend in my forever home would be great, but I would also do well in a home by myself….as long as you understood that I’ll need time to trust you. I love toys, tunnels, cat scratchers and toothbrushes 😂
This is probably the most important part, so please keep reading….When it’s time for me to come live with you, please set me up in a small room with all my essentials (and limited places to hide) and allow me time to get used to the sounds and smells of my new home. This will also be a great place for us to bond 😉 You’ll be surprised how quickly I settle in if this is provided. It will be all too overwhelming for me if I’m given access to the whole house straight away and will immediately go into hiding.
Oh and PLEASE don’t send me outside….there is nothing more terrifying for me! Just provide me with some windows to watch what’s happening out there.
My foster family absolutely adore me, but they say I deserve a place to call home, so if you think you can provide me with what I need, let my foster mum know by sending her an enquiry 🥰 You’ll find me in Hamlyn Terrace on the Central Coast NSW.

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
