Socialization
Ziggi is a little hesitant when meeting new people . however he warms up pretty quick with some kinds words
We have tested him with 2 submissive females and although polite he was not inteteres in interaction . In his previous life he was attacked a few times by the dog he lived with so he probably has some reservations
We feel that he would be best suited as an only dog home
Training and toilet training
Ziggi knows the basic commands, Sit, stay, come. He will go out for his tileting as long as he has access to do so
He does walk fairly well on lead but can zig zag when on a longer lead so recommendations for a short lead until he gets into the swing of it
Ziggi would require a nice walk each day to keep him fit and healthy
Sleeping
Ziggi has been allowed to sleep on our beds at night. And when he settles in for the night he sleeps all night. There were times when he would curl up and put his head on a pillow and wiggle his way under the covers.
Temperament
Ziggi has been a delight to care for. It did take a few weeks for him to settle in as he was heartbroken when his family dumped him and he did miss them terribly. The one thing we noticed with Ziggi is he just wants to be loved and feel safe.
Ziggi is a little shy of having his head touched by new people but once he warms up he loves a good head scratch.
Home Environet
Ziggi loves to have inside and outside access to his home
He would prefer to have someone home more often than not as if he is alone too long he will find things you leave out in the yard to entertain himself like thongs, door mats etc . He will have a little whinge when you leave but settle after a few minutes
Ziggi is a beautiful boy who just needs to be loves
Adoption Criteria
A good size yard with secure fences and grass to run and play
A home where someone is home more often than not
A home that will allow him to be an inside / outside dog
Children are fine but we are seeking if in the home mature children who are kind and gentle
A home that will walk him daily
A home that will keep him stimulated and entertained
