Leclarc is a beautify, bouncy young fella who would very much like to always be by your side. He is a sweet, energetic young man and would love young, outgoing companions who would take him everywhere with them.
Leclarc is a bit anxious when left alone - his
fosters have left him for up to 4 hours (with their own dogs) with no troubles, but he has been a little destructive at other times. If you are likely to be out for a long day it would be wise to consider taking him to doggy day care, where he can interact with out dogs and get all that young dog energy out.
He has not been fully cat tested, as he seems too boisterous for them. They get scared and run, he then chases, thinking it is a game. He does seem uninterested in the chickens as long as they don't flap their wings too much - he assumes that is a sign they want to 'play'.
He would love a compatible resident female dog to play with, his foster brother and sister are too old and lazy to be of much use when it comes to quality play, they tire too soon for him😄
Leclarc has had a little training, he sits and lies down and is patient waiting for his food. He is toilet trained, and will sleep on his bed if it is in your room so he can be with you at all times. He will need a little work on the lead and needs to learn how to be polite when meeting other dogs (or humans for that matter) for the first time, as he jumps up to say Hi and to get your full attention.
This active guy will require daily walks and backyard playtime, he really enjoys chasing a ball and it quickly tuckers him out. At home he needs some quality chew toys - many toys have seen their end at the foster home😄 He loves goat horns and hooves, he watched his foster brother and sister eat carrots and tries to mimic them, but is not sure what all the fuss is about with the orange things.
Leclarc is just such a happy cuddly boy and really just wants someone to be his furever friend and home.
