Hello lovely humans, my name is Jackie.
I was saved from a lonely life in a backyard by the RSPCA WA. Before coming to the shelter, I had never left the back yard and didn't know to be a dog. I didn't know if humans would hurt me so I kept myself curled up in my kennel. The staff here spent a lot of time with me every day to build my confidence and teach me that humans can be friendly. Fast forward few months and I am improving every day. I love when my new human friends spend time with me and I am now comfortable enough for what you folks call pats. I have been on foster and have shown I can settle into life and am growing in confidence day by day! I am now ready to find my forever home and continue experiencing the world in a positive way. I would like my owners to be home more often than not whilst I settle in and my home to be free from children as they can be a little unpredictable. I do like other dogs and have regular play dates with some friends down here at the shelter so if you have a calm dog at home that would enjoy some company, I would love to meet them and they can help me learn the ropes.
