Meet Lady, this young girl has come a long way in foster care from the apprehensive and flighty las she used to be! She is a big, happy, playful pup who loves to gallop around the garden, the beach, the park actually anywhere will do. For this reason a large yard, secure 6ft fencing and plenty of exercise will be required to keep her stimulated. Although when she’s done, she is more than happy to curl up for a nap or cuddles.
She has been tried and tested camping, hiking, inside and outside. Lady is crate trained and happy to be left in the yard with another pooch while her foster parents are at work. Loves to play ball, tug and go swimming. This girl won’t mind what name she’s known by, as once she gets to know you she will recall.
Even though she has come out of her shell in care she may still need a few meets to feel comfortable with your family and show the sweet, playful nature we love her for. One of the big helps has been her foster brother, whom she looks to for reassurance. For this reason she will need to be re-homed with another dog. Preferably a well mannered sibling she can learn from. She would make a good watch dog as she barks if someone strange tries to enter the yard - but she is definitely all talk.
She is intelligent, food motivated and easy to train, walks on a halti, sits, drops and waits for food. She requires someone who is firm but kind to thrive as she still young. She will also need time to adjust to her new environment so patience is a must! More training would be beneficial. A class environment ideal, to help her settle in unfamiliar situations.
If your family includes kids, please consider her size and age. In the right environment this girl will develop into a delightful Lady.
Lady is $300 to adopt, desexed, microchip, C5 vaccinated and given flea tick and worm preventatives
