Kiona

Sweet, Smart, Stunning and only hears Silence! Yep you got it, little Miss Kiona is deaf.

Kiona is a very friendly, sweet and gentle. She loves to meet new people and new doggos. She also loves to go on sniffaris and to chill in the sun. Kiona is particularly fond of her toys, especially balls, and enjoys playing tug. She thoroughly enjoys her food on lickmats for that extra fun that provides. Kiona is definitely a foodie and is highly food motivated - she can smell it a mile off! This makes training and engagement easy with her.

What she doesn't hear she sees! She is very smart as she watches her people and reactions of the other dogs. She is very hard of hearing and is most likely completely deaf but she may have a tiny bit of hearing in her right ear.

This little girl sleeps in her crate if a night and will vocalise if she requires toilet and will go to the back door to be let out during the day for toileting and 95% of the time will go on pee pads if you miss her cue. She is still getting used to the car but is much better when she can stick her head out the window. Kiona does sleep a lot at the moment as she is still young. Sometimes she will just be in her own little world and is happy to do her own thing. She is an independent pup, happy with her own company and exploring the yard or playing with her toys.

Her foster carers say she is hands down the best puppy they have fostered. She’s an absolute sweetheart they are all in love with 😍 luckily they already have 4 or she would definitely be a foster fail! 🙂

We would love a home that is experienced or dedicated to training with sign. She is smart and very easy so she will be an amazing candidate for further training. Her deafness has made her a very stable pup that slots in so easily anywhere. She will need a home with access inside and a family ready to continue training and socialising as she does still have a lot of growing up to do.
