About Dale
Meet Dale!
Dale is a super sweet male Wolfhound x who is approx 9 months old.
This dear boy came into care in a bad state after being picked up by rangers. He was very thin and extremely scared.
Since coming into SMART, Dale has put on a good amount of weight and is slowly learning to trust people. He has become attached to our kennel hands who spend the most time with him so he will be a loyal and faithful friend to the right owner.
Dale is still quite anxious and can be timid around people he doesn't know so will need a home who is patient and willing to earn his trust. Through our temperament testing process its been observed that Dale doesn't like it when people have things in the hands around him...he isn't aggressive, he just wants to get away.
Dale gets along with the other dogs here at the sanctuary and is yet to be tested with cats.
Dale enjoys walks and play. He does pull on his lead a bit so will need some further training. We are unsure of his toilet training status but can only assume he is not house trained. He seems eager to please and be a good boy so would take to training easily.
Dale had been vet checked, desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, temperament tested, worm and flea treated.
If interested in this sweet boy, please fill in an adoption application below.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
