‘Strong, happy, adventurous, kind, independent and resilient’ are just a few of the words used by Angus’ foster parents to describe him. Angus is a happy go lucky dog that despite being hard of hearing and hard of sight, loves life and approaches it with a permanent wagging tail.
He loves other dogs and will greet them with the biggest tail wag. He requires a little help to read some of the other dog’s signals due to his sight and hearing issues, but overall would really love to have an older, but still playful mate in his forever home. Angus LOVES his walks and his foster parents say he shows such bravery when out and about on his walk as he can’t see and hear all that well.
A resourceful and resilient dog, when Angus first finds himself in a new environment he will do a few laps to help memorise where things are. He’s not keen on being picked up too often as this can disorientate him due to his hearing and vision problems. For similar reasons, he is not great in a car and it can make him a little stressed.
Angus’ foster parents describe him as a really good dog and easy to be around. He is house trained and he does not need that much exercise, but would love and benefit from a few short walks each day. He is currently taking medication for an ulcer on his eye and has a cough that is being investigated by the vet.
He is a happy boy that gets along with both humans and dogs and would without a doubt prove to be the most loyal buddy and bring his forever family an abundance of joy and appreciation for life despite the hardships he faces. Angus’ ideal forever family will have another older and not overly active dog (but one who still loves a play and a walk) and people who have patience for an older dog and who are home more often than not.
Should you feel that you’d love to have this good boy and his beautiful spirit join your family, please complete our application form. We’d love to hear from you.
Please note: our dogs are not available for interstate adoption. We also do not adopt to people under the age of 25 years.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
