About Ella
Gentle girl looking for love
Ella is a curious cat who loves to be part of everything that is going on. She loves meeting new people, especially if they have her favourite treat! Although she is not a lap cat, she prefers to spend time around humans. Due to previous trauma as a kitten, she’s a bit cautious with head rubs but will happily come and rub herself against you to show affection.
When her foster carer comes home, she greets her with tales of her day and rolls to show her belly. She is extremely gentle, and has never growled, scratched or bitten any humans. Even when she doesn’t want to be touched, she simply runs off rather than attack. She will tolerate being picked up but does not particularly enjoy it.
She will come sleep at the bottom of the bed if you let her at night. She even puts up with her foster carer’s very restless sleep! In the mornings or just before bed, she likes to come and sit on her foster carer’s stomach for a cuddle. This is when she loves to get some chin rubs and ear scratches.
She does not try to eat food that isn’t hers and is very respectful of kitchen counters because she knows she isn’t allowed there.
She was previously fostered in a 4 cat household, so she will likely be okay in a multiple cat household.
Adoption details
Animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed and on heartworm prevention / and also FIV tested for cats where possible. They are not available for adoption outside NSW (except ACT). Please email par.adoptions@gmail.com if you would like further information.
Dogs and cats are rehomed on two weeks trial to ensure that both the person adopting them and the rescuer are satisfied that the dog / cat / animal is happy and adapting well to their new home and this can be extended on request
Please be aware that Paws and Recover is run by volunteers who also work. We endeavour to answer enquires as quickly as possible. Some animals will inevitably be very popular and will generate many enquires. Where there is a high volume of enquires received, it will be our priority to contact those that best fit the requirements of the animal. This may mean that it is not possible for all enquires to be answered. Please keep an eye on the website for all updates.
Providing quality information as a part of your enquiry including information about your home environment, family, work hours, other pets and what you are looking for in a companion animal along with what you can offer one will greatly assist.
Please always provide a contact phone number as a part of your enquiry.
