About Murphy
If you are interested in Murphy, or any of our Greyhounds, we require you to fill in our application form - https://forms.gle/RmFiJ9YRFnWzexrNA
Hello world, meet Murphy! This 4 year old boy is an absolute sweetheart and has picked up pet-life like a pro - roaching, derping and playing with his toys from Day 1.
In the 2 weeks Murphy has been in foster care, he has shown how quickly he can learn, already mastering:
His name
Apartment toilet training (He’s never had an accident indoors)
Crate training (He goes straight to sleep and has been tested alone for up to 4 hours with no problem, he also happily sleeps in his crate overnight)
Lounges and beds are for humans (although he’d happily join you on the lounge for a snuggle if you let him)
The commands Stop and Let’s Go when he’s on walkies
Table manners (he’s very well-mannered waiting for his food, and is quickly learning to be well-mannered with human food)
And perhaps most impressively, he’s mastered the scariest kind of stairs for greyhounds… the dreaded wooden open-backed type!
Murphy is such a sweet-natured and quiet boy who will easily steal your heart. He would be suited to an apartment or a house, and is fine with the noise of the big city.
Murphy has seen a lot of dogs out and about on his walks, but hasn’t had a playdate, so he would need a good meet and greet to see if he is ok to live with another dog.
He would also suit new or experienced dog owners, provided they are committed to his ongoing training and socialisation - he’s such a smart boy so we are confident he will pick these up well… you might even have him doing tricks!
At Homeward Bound Hounds, we pride ourselves on matching the right dog to the right family. We need to know more about you and your home to find the best possible match.
